Semantic technologies are at the heart of the future Web and now, more than ever, we need to have means to evaluate these technologies to support semantic technology improvement, selection, and experimentation-based research.

There are multiple efforts and approaches to the evaluation of semantic technologies; nevertheless, the evaluation of semantic technologies is still a difficult and expensive task.

In the SEALS project we plan to develop the SEALS Platform, a software infrastructure for the evaluation of semantic technologies, and we will provide a set of evaluation services and datasets for different types of semantic technologies: ontology engineering tools, ontology storage and reasoning systems, ontology matching tools, semantic search tools and semantic web service tools.

Besides, we plan to organize several evaluation campaigns where these types of semantic technologies will be evaluated, allowing anyone to participate and compare their tools with others.

Our final goal is to provide a meeting and discussion place for everyone that is interested in the evaluation of semantic technologies. Welcome to SEALS!
